Joie Hamelin. Bar Stools. January 06th, 2018.
Some stools have arms rests. These rests often are quite high and can catch on or damage the bar especially on swivel stools. If you want arm rests or swivel features ensure that the height of the stools is less than the height of the breakfast bar. High back bar stools can fit comfortably partially under the bar. If however you want you put the stool away chose a lower back bar stool.
The size of bar sloots is usually measured by comparing with the height of the bar, being measured from the floor to the top of the seat. Kitchen tables usually falls between 70 cm and 76 cm in height. A bar stool with a height of 43-46 cm fits best with this type of table. Bar tables are usually between 102-107 cm in height. A bar stool with a height of 70-76 cm would be necessary for this type of application. A bar counter falls between 90 and 92 cm in height, and bar stools with a height between 61-66 cm usually work best with the size of this kind of bar counter. It doesnt matter what size you choose for your seats, always remember that what is important is that they are not too high or too low when you sit on them and they must be in harmony with the size of your bar and your room.
The contrast brought by bar stools makes a huge difference in the appearance, comfort and function of a house. There are many things to be taken into account when you have to decide what seats you want to buy. The most important decisions are those regarding the height of the stool bar, the size of the bar and the design style that you preffer.
There are many materials from which stools are built. At first, wood was used as the basic material. With time the designers started combinations between wood, which was used in 80 percent of the stool bar and 20 percent insertion of metal. In time, the elements of chrome have become more attractive and wood was replaced in many cases in 100 percent with metal.
